Music therapy is an effective tool in working with special needs individuals; in building academic skills, enhancing social skills, learning different expressive and coping techniques to assist in emotional regulation (for both youth and adults). Music therapy techniques assist in improving mood, increasing motivation, and reducing anxiety.
